Prickly Ash Bark is used in magic and witchcraft for travel protection, uncrossing, and breaking hexes. The Native Americans called the tree which Prickly Ash Bark comes from “Toothache Tree” because they would chew the bark to get rid of a toothache.
USES: Herbal preparations, burn in a loose incense blend, add to floor washes, ritual baths, use to dress spell candles, stuff poppets, or as a casting herb.
Medicinally, Prickly Ash was used by Native Americans to treat arthritis and cholera. It contains anti-inflammatory and alterative properties, which may be helpful for autoimmune disorders.
